In 2015, Mr. Sheldon Xie (Manager of Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, Penang) had a discussion with me to help on setting up Penang Anti-Cancer Association. The purpose of setting up this association is to let more people understand the prevention and treatment of cancer, assist cancer patients on taking the correct next step after understand the cancer, to reduce fear and get more confidence towards treatment and recover from sickness.
I register for this association apart from anything due to Sheldon is kind and caring person. Penang Anti-Cancer Association been registered as a legitimate association soon after.
After few months of preparation, the first director been choose in the first official meeting in 1st January 2016.

On 17th January 2016, Tan Teik Cheng (Executive Consultant), Sheldon Xie (Conference Consultant), Ong Yew Hock, and Professor Ke Li Qun (Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou) had sworn an oath to take the responsibility on every anti-cancer awareness activity.
On the same day, the first anti-cancer seminar had conducted which drive by professor Ke Li Qun on swearing ceremony at residential care homes Permatang Tinggi, Bukit Mertajam.
In future, this association will cooperate with Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou to conduct seminar and discussion on cancer once a month.
All member been invited to attend six (6) days site visits and inspection on 8th May 2016 – 13th May 2016 to understand the latest equipment.
